Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh 
Re-entry Assistance Management Program (RAMP). RAMP works specifically with offenders returning to the community from incarceration. Assistance is given in the following areas: soft skills training, computer training, employment and career counseling.
 
Mon Valley Initiative
Representatives from MVI pair with officials from the Prothonotary to conduct workshops on combating employment barriers. The workshops deal with criminal record expungement, federal bonding, reviewing your rap sheet for accuracy.
 
Duquesne University School of Occupational Therapy – Service Learning
The Clinical Reasoning Service Learning Project is a master’s level social responsibility collaboration. Graduate level students create programs to work with the identified needs of the underserved in the community. Every year students work with staff to develop programs for this population. The programs can range from career counseling, women’s focus groups, grant writing, life skills coach, or social skills coach.
 
Responsible Fatherhood
This program focuses on helping custodial and non-custodial guardians to improve their parenting skills, work on healthy marriages/relationship, and financial stability while in the community. The program is provided by Primary Care Health Services, Inc.
 
Occupational Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR)
OVR provides services for persons with disabilities who are trying to start new employment or maintain present employment. Services may include assistance with the purchase of tools or work clothes, financial aid for training, certification, licensure or vocational school. 
 
Mercy Behavioral Health
Provides preventive education services i.e. testing for HIV and hepatitis.  Pre-screening for diabetes, hypertension.  Nicotine education and smoke cessation classes are also included. 
 
Penn State Trio
Penn State Educational Opportunity is a federal program that assists low income adults pursue post secondary education.  Residents are given help with financial aid, admissions assistance and career counseling.
 
Career Link

This is a partnership through the Pa. Dept. of Education and Pa. Workforce Development. Career Link provides career services and training to potential employees.

Provides mental health services to our clients and is conveniently located next to Renewal's Work Release Center on the Blvd. of the Allies.

Whales Tale

Provides intensive drug and alcohol services to our clients.

Center for Spirituality for Peer Support

Provides transportion to 12-step NA meetings, medical appointments, assistance with apartment searches and mentoring.

Alcoholics Anonymous

12-step recovery meeting which include discussion and speaker.

YWCA (704 2nd Ave.)

Clients are offered classes and groups on job search, life skills, mental health, housing and parental services.

Lydia's Place (704 2nd Ave.)

A group of 15 women receive healthy parenting tools and learn effective skills on how to be a part of their children's lives without causing further abuse.

Message Carriers (704 2nd Ave.)

Clients are offered peer support and mentoring, which includes transporting to 12-step meetings, medical appointments, assistance with apartment searches.

Incarcerated Renewal Girl Scout Troop Project (704 2nd Ave.)

Monthly activity meetings are held with the Girl Scouts of America and incarcerated mothers and their daughters to provide qualitiy time with one another. 

Forensic Diversion Services

Forensic Diversion Services are an array of supports designed to work with the Allegheny County Jail, District Courts, Service Coordination Units and other community providers to assist persons with mental illness and/or co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorder who encournter the criminal justice system.

Drug Court

The Allegheny County Drug Court is designed specifically for persons who are actively using illegal substances and involved with the criminal justice system.  Drug Court candidates are identified by the Office of the District Attorney (DA) or may be referred by a defense attorney to the DA's office for consideration.  Candidates must meet certain eligibility criteria and be willing to plead guilty to charges.  If accepted and court approved, individuals are placed on Restrictive Intermediate Punishment (for an average of 23 months) followed by six months of probation and enrolled in intensive drug treatment, as an alternative to incarceration.
