Level One: Offenders are denied access to the community. This component is usually used for U.S. Probation Violators and specific types of offenders.
Level Two: Offenders who require a high degree of supervision but have access to outside employment and other resources.
Level Three: Offenders within this level are allowed social access to the community. This may include visiting family and shopping for personal items.
Level Four: Offenders now have greater access to the community and more frequent visits or approved home passes.
Level Five: Offenders within this component are eligible for Home Confinement and Electronic monitoring. The intent here is for full reintegration back into the community with limited supervision.
The CSC also requires the offender to participate in a wide range of programming. This includes Life Skill classes, Drug and Alcohol treatment, employment assistance and mental health counseling. The progress of the offender is reviewed by the PRT (Program Review Team). The representatives from the Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Probation and the contractor meet formally with the offender guiding them with their reintegration back into society.
